Grambling made a late add to its 2009 National Signing Day class tonight: Two-star recruit James Holloway, a safety out of Booker T. Washington in Houston — called “one of HISD’s premier programs at producing division one players” by Scout.com.
Holloway (6-3/180) was named first-team All-District 22-4A on defense last season, and second-team all-district as a junior after intercepting seven passes. He garnered interest from Texas A&M as a junior (when he was ranked No. 142 in the nation), was offered this year by Ole Miss assistant James Shibest, and also received interest from Houston.
Holloway has been clocked at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.
