Grambling remains at top of Sheridan Broadcasting Network rankings

We have a belated update on black college football polling after the Sheridan Broadcasting Network finally updated its rankings: Grambling remains at the top spot for a second consecutive week, with Bethune-Cookman again at No. 2.

Grambling, which has not lost a game in championship subdivision play so far this season, also sits at No. 1 in the BoxtoRow.com/BASN HBCU Media Top 10 Poll.

That splits the voting with Bethune-Cookman, which is atop both the Heritage Radio Network Division I-FCS Top-10 and the Dr. Cavil’s HBCU Major Division Football Top 10. The Wildcats knocked off former No. 1 South Carolina State two weeks ago, shuffling the standings.

[Grambling moves into The Sports Network’s Top 25 of championship subdivision teams for first time this season.]

Grambling takes on Arkansas-Pine Bluff this week, while Bethune faces North Carolina A&T. Neither opponents appear in the Sheridan poll, but UAPB is ranked No. 8 by Dr. Cavil’s and is receiving votes in the Heritage Radio Network poll.
