Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina A&T, Southern hold on to Top 3 spots in black college baseball

The top three spots in the new Division I poll remain unchanged going into Week 2 of voting. Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina A&T and Southern are still Nos. 1-3, with Bethune garnering 18 first-place votes. A&T also received one top vote.

Norfolk State and Texas Southern each moved up one spot to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Savannah State, an independent program working its way into the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, shot up three spots to No. 6. Grambling, swept last weekend at home against Southern, dropped three spots to No. 7.

Prairie View A&M, an unranked Southwestern Athletic Conference team as the polling began last week, is at No. 8. Jackson State fell from No. 7 to 9. Alabama State remained at No. 10, while Florida A&M fell out of the polling.
